Construction Specification Institute exams

Has anyone taken any of the CSI certification exams? I took the 'first' one back while in school ('99) and am now going for the second - the CCS exam. Anyone been here and done that?

I have never thought to take that,

just curious what is the purpose why you would take it?

Does that give you the ability to write specifications?
