It can always be a new precedent set.  They were planning on releasing late yesterday afternoon, but Thurs happy hour was calling.

Who says it's another week? It could be next Tuesday or Wednesday. Or it could be two weeks (3 weeks in Pennsylvania).

Looking at release trends, result release is always initiated on a Thursday...Maybe a Monday one time?

As far as i remember,

Results were released on Thursday, 5th week for April 2017 term, and Monday, 6th week for October 2017 term. Your best bet would be next week either Monday or Thursday.

False. I got my exam results on a Fri. during the 2010 exam cycle. There's still a chance for today.

Wrong, I found at on December 11, 2015 at 3:00PM that I passed. Yes, it was a Friday. I was hitting F5 all damn day.

It would be very smart to release results at 3pm on friday with most people awaiting already starting happy hour.  

Wake up next day hung over and reading NCEES result email.

Results notifications have been known to sent after local business hours.

There is something strategic in sending out a potentially contentious message when angry/confused people can't respond immediately.

Another related thought:

Has everyone heard of the Friday news dump? Or is that too beltway? The principle sorta applies here. Some states have released results right before Memorial Day weekend.

Last Dec. 4, 2017 it was a Monday... so there's a definite precedent for that....I remember it well, ruined Christmas  ...AND my B-day.... ugh....

Looks like from April 2015 to April 2017, earliest release date has been within 34-38 days. Thursday (5/17 was 34 days), Friday (5/18 is 35 days), Monday (my guess, 5/21 will be 38 days). Let me get back to work.
