I found PPI's Construction Depth package really helpful, but I don't have results yet. Also, gather all the references NCEES lists. I definitely missed a few because I didn't want to spend more money on more books. Just spend the money and remember that you can always sell them back on Amazon or similar site for a small loss. It's worth it.
