Working on my PE application for mechanical. I worked for three years at a mechanical contractor in CA with no PEs on staff.
What is the best way to get a reference for the experience?
I have spoken with some consultants who I worked with on projects, and they are willing to provide a reference, but only on specific projects.
In review of the 2019 PE & PLS Board Rules they reference someone “legally qualified” and have “or by, except for civil engineers, holding an appropriate license as a contractor.” as one of the criteria. Will the owner, who has his class A General Engineering license qualify?
