The Kaplan practice problems includes a section (sect. 9) about Biomedical Instrumentation. I haven't seen that on any other study materials, so I was wondering if that is a new thing. Has anybody ever seen a Biomed question on the actual exam? Should I spend time studying this?

If it were me I would look at the problem and see if it looks like something that will give me practice in general electronics, or instrumentation. I'm not sure if there is a specific section on biomed (I don't think there is) but a lot of time they may put problems in a practical form that involves pretending you are using some transducer for a medical or any other application. But if the problem looks way out there, and relies on some sort of biological knowlege that you don't have, I'd skip it. Especially if you are not taking the ECC afternoon module.

I did look at them, and even worked a couple because they were pretty advanced Op Amp circuits. It just seemed odd that they would put in a section specifically about one type of instrumentation. I thought I might have missed something in my overview of the exam.

Huh...I just noticed that Ch 62 in the EERM is Biomedical Electrical Engineering. I guess it would be a good idea to look over this stuff.
