wish there were still cars with 5 speed manual transmission.

A minivan with stick shift now I'd pay good money for that.

Manual transmissions are pretty pointless with modern cars. The arguments about price, reliability, and gas mileage are pretty much moot with the quality of automatic transmissions, even on cheap econoboxes. At this point, driving a stick is more of a statement than a practical matter. For normal driving/commuting, I'll take an auto any day.
