Just plain road cycling. The American River Bike Trail (aka Jedediah Smith bike trail) runs along the river for >30 miles, completely separate from the vehicle roads. It's safe, scenic, and awesome.@squaretaper what kind of trails are you talking about? I don't do too much offroading, but theoretically am better suited to now that I have Marathons!

7ish is OK. You can peel off and/or make whatever loop you want. You don't have to go for miles and miles if you don't want. Usually when I take friends out we take the light rail to Folsom and ride back into downtown for post ride brews.That sounds awesome!
