It wasn't exactly a true SoulCycle experience in that it was outdoors with blue skies and the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, and it was a 60 minute class, not 40.

But otherwise, the class was the same.

So SoulCycle is spinning, but they also incorporate moves with lighter free weights.

I had 5 lb weights.

I didn't realize until almost the very end of the 10-15 ish minute arm workout that everyone else had 3 lb weights.

My arms were pretty must toast!

But it was a good challenge.

I can see why people like SoulCycle.

It was a very positive experience, and definitely an intense workout.

Very different from biking outdoors.

But it's so damned expensive!

I will stick with my regular old bike.
