PE after name in academic work

Would or have any of you put PE after your name in academic work such as a thesis? I'm debating whether or not I should put it on mine. After all, I earned it and every PhD puts that after his name.

    Review Material/Reference Roundup

I wasted a lot of money on books so I'm putting together a list of study materials for future reference and here's my list: Study books: NCEES 2001 and 2008 exams - essential. 2008 was better than the 2001 which was all english units. I did the 2001 early in my studying and the 2008 the...

    Anybody submit comments to NCEES?

Anybody submit comments to NCEES regarding an exam question? I had to for one on the morning ME session because the data they provided wasn't really clear and could have been easily argued for two answers. Just wondering if I was the only one.

MERM App 17.C Pressure drop column

I use App 17.C all the time to quickly convert gpm to ft3/min for different pipe sizes, but I've never used the pressure drop column. In fact, I dont even know how to use it and I dont think I've even seen any example problems that use it. Anybody know?

    Cant do any more problems?

I'm just wondering if it's just me or is anybody else out there just sick of doing problems? I'm at the point now where I can only do like 3 and after that I dont care anymore. I'm pretty tempted to just stop and not do anything else for the next 2 weeks.

    Fatigue Problems w/ alternating stresses

Ok so every time I do a fatigue problem, I do it completely differently from the way the solution has it. I tried #19 in Lindeburg's Practice problems which is as follows: Circular tube, .5in OD, .03 in wall thickness, alternating stresses -3in-lbf and 30in-lbf. 42kpsi Sy, 72kpsi Sult, 24k...

    HVAC - Reheat Load?

Can someone explain the best way to calculate reheat load? I was trying to do one of the Lindeburg practice problems and I found the two points on the psych chart, found the two values of enthalpy and multiplied it by the mass flow rate in lbm/hr to get the answer. The solution uses...

    MERM Error?

I was trying to work a 6MS MD #78 and I think I found an error in the MERM regarding the NTU Method equations. I think eq 36.81 and 36.82 are reversed, meaning that 36.81 where it says Cmin = Ccold should be for Cmin = Chot. Same goes for 36.82, Cmin = Ccold. Otherwise, the C terms would...

    HVAC 6MS breadth #2

I tried working the 6MS #2 HVAC and cant figure out why they chose 32 Btu/lbm over 28. I worked it exactly the same way as the US solution of ex 38.4 and it should give me the same result as the method they used. I used 13.65 for vb from psych chart giving me 5000/13.65 = mb = 366 lbm/min. I...
