    Many states are surprisingly early!

I don't know why... But I saw that some of the states have been surprisingly fast than historical data in the excel sheet... Georgia for one. New Mexico! Do you think your state can pull off a surprise early result?

Should repeat exam takers worry about low pass rates!!

After I received my results for my first trial, I found out that I may have lost the exam to about 2-3 questions. So I decided to go for SE1 again. But now as exam is approaching I feel like there must be something wrong for repeat takers.... Why the pass rates for repeat takers is always so...

    Design of Splice connection

In example 4.31 of the SERM (Design of Splice connection) Ae is taken equal to An but in AISC it is given as Ae = UAn. I was thinking that in that example, case 1 where U = 1 applies. I wanted to make sure that for tension splice on the flange of W section, case 2 or case 7 would apply. Am I...

48% pass rate for SE1... Did you get what you expected as pass rate in your field?

I want to know if 48% pass rate for SE1 is something you expected or you expected something different..... I thought it would be higher than 50%...... Atleast the passing rate went up after some time!

Like it or not looks like results will be out in first week of July

It appears pretty clear that: 1. States that receive results directly from NCEES should get them in last week of June (29th or 30th). 2. States that post results to candidates should recieve it in first or second week of July. If anyone has got any other updates directly from NCEES or states...

I wanted to know if anyone who have given exams in past know whether the questions in exam where similar to the one given in 246 Solved structural Enginnering Problems by C. Dale Buckner. It seems like they are more complicated then 6 minute solution.
