I've read this problem & it's solution several times, checked the Errata and could use help understanding the following: Why isn't Effective Width (B') used in the solution? The Hint even recommends finding Effective Width!

OK, I misread that particular question. It specifically says to "Ignore correction for over-burden" which makes the use of Qult obvious. Same for other probs. I'm gonna stop skimming problem through problem statements now ;}
