I haven't looked too much into it, but I recently moved to IL for my wife's job. This means that I am now looking for work. I am not really going to start looking into getting licensed in IL until I get a job here.

In FL, I think I had everything submitted by the end of October 2009 for the April 2010 Exam. I think my application was approved in December and then I got my official exam ID in February.

I agree. None of those manuals are needed for the AM portion. I had the CERM and a textbook for transportation, structural, fluid mechanics and geotech.

My guess is that part of the reason is that there is a smaller sample size. Also people are probably less likely to study when taking it again. There probably is a certain percentage that will never pass as well.

Your EIT license will show the state it was issued but will be transferable to other states. I passed the FE exam in Indiana and passed the PE exam in Florida. Florida did not question the validity of my experience or my FE exam results.

Yes, I got my license number under myfloridalicense. I had to search for myself to get my license number. Maybe your status will update on Monday. If not you could call the board. They were very friendly and helpful when I called even though I am sure they were slammed.

At my current position I am sure I would get a raise, but since I work for the state, it would probably take at least a year to enact the raise. A promotion may come at the same time or a few more years down the line.
