Come on, CA. Just hit that big "SEND" button in the upper left corner of the email to NCEES. It's really that simple.

I'm guessing they won't press send until right before the last person leaves the office. That way, they don't have to deal with any phone calls or emails until Monday.

That's exactly what I'm thinking too. Just give us the d*mn results already. Geeez

Please understand that there are several staff members integral to reviewing applications and managing the examinations process that are licensed and we can fully appreciate the anxiety felt during this time.

As stated previously, the National Professional Engineer (PE) and State Specific Civil Engineer April 2011 results for California applicants will be released today. The more time we spend on the phone responding to questions as to exactly what time that will be, the less time we spend finalizing the notices and making sure that everything is ready to go.

Also and as stated previously, applicants will receive an email from NCEES alerting them to log in and receive their national exam results. Results for the State Specific Civil exams will be by regular mail.

If you have changed your address of record anytime since submitting your application and have not notified the California Board of the change, you may not receive the letter in the mail. I would suggest that anyone in this situation to visit the Board's web site, download the form and submit as soon as possible: http://www.pels.ca.gov/pubs/forms/address_change.pdf

Good luck to everyone!

"Simple" is not a word that this board or any government agency knows about.
I know, just wishful thinking.
I am worried for mail buckets, since surveying is the one I am waiting on

I'm not even trying to think about the mailed results. I'll leave the hair pulling for next week. Its the National results that have me tied in a knot. Really all it is is just a push of a button, but no we have to wait for a certain time to push the button. So irritating.

As for the mailed results. If the Board keeps it's word and sends the results in the mail we should see them either Saturday (wishful thinking) or Monday after work.

"The more time we spend on the phone responding to questions as to exactly what time that will be, the less time we spend finalizing the notices" Thats a load of bull. This sheit should have been done already!

Look, I know we all do our best with the limited resources but if there was some way for the Board to make the process more transparent and provide more updates I think you would get alot less flack from everyone. Of course there will be some that will still complain but not as many.

Real bright, there Jake. You're mouthing off to the man that pushes the button. Real bright.........

I am very seriously considering sending a letter to the board expressing the frustrations that we have all endured in this process. Between hoping they accept your recommendations, hoping they accept your qualifying experience, waiting to be hear if your application has been accepted, and - worst of all - waiting on the results (longer than people from any other state, I might add), it it enough to drive someone crazy. Frankly, I am appalled by the incompetence, unresponsiveness, and downright inconsideration that the California Board shows toward their applicants. There is NO valid excuse as to why they cannot complete the notification process in a more timely manner. I can't believe our application and license fees pay for their poor performance. If this was their engineering job, they would be fired! The problem is that once everyone passes the exam, no one gives a sh!t anymore and they let it go. If I can get some fellow test-takers to sign the letter with me I might send it out once I find out that I passed (which I totally expect to). It might mean more then. Until then, I guess I'll just continue to wait anxiously with everyone else.
Georgiagonnapass, I welcome a letter or email from you, and anyone else, regarding any concerns or frustrations you have with the process. If anyone feels this way, please feel free to contact me.

I bet once the computer-based testing is implemented, most of the frustrations will go away. I'm sure this will allow for more automatic processing, which will lead to faster result reporting. I think we're all just a little anxious and "on edge" while we wait for the results.

ctmask - completely understandable. But we learned a long time ago...long before you, me or most anyone on this forum were even involved, that releasing the national portion of the PE results without including the state resulted in more heartache for the applicants and Board staff.

We do not like waiting to release the structural engineering and land surveyor results even later, but that is a result of the exam format (design essay) and the additional scoring verification process. We are hoping that will improve soon.

Ric,

Thank you for posting a reply here!

I really apreciated it!

It shows that you all are working hard to get the results out.

Thanks,

Andre

I don't like to talk about politics. However, Have you guys notice the states with the longest wait for the results are left-wing/democrat leaning states? LOL

New York - Democrat

New Jersey - Democrat

Massachusset - Democrat

California - Tree-hugging Democrat.....

LOL............

Agreed!
Hear, hear! I'm sure dealing with our anxiety every cycle is nothing new to you. I feel a lot better now that you've come here and confirmed the results will be released today. I now only need to refresh my inbox once a minute.
