Tampa Area average salaries

Hey everyone,

I am looking to move to the Tampa, FL area, and I was wondering what some typical salary ranges were for a Civil/Water Resources Engineer.

I currently have about 8 years experience and hopefully I pass the October 2006 PE.

MUCH lower than Tampa or Orlando. I could buy my home (3 bed, 2 bath, 1380 sq ft heated) right now for $145k. It would be 2 times (+) that in Tampa/Orlando/St. Pete, and the house would need work.

Commute to Tampa from my house = 1 hr. To Orlando (downtown) = 1.5 hrs. I'm on the beach (west coast, St. Pete) in 1 hr 20 minutes. 2 hours to east coast (Sebastian Inlet or Capa Canaveral).
