I've read online that some states send out passing PE scores, while most only notify someone of a score when they failed. (PPI2Pass FAQ)

Does anyone know which states post the passing scores?

I feel that I did very well, as I'm sure many people here did on the April 2014 Civil PE Exam, and I'd like to know if my state will tell me my score. Am I in one of the few states? Or one of the many?

Thanks

Very few do. Texas is one for sure.

If all of the candidates find out results through electronic means it seems like a waste of a letter and postage since you can find the result on either NCEES/ State board site for the result and know days before the letter arrives. I guess the advantage is it takes the suspense out of opening a letter if you already know whats written on it...

DeltaT, he's talking about the actual numeric score, not the mode in which it arrives. Texas is one (if not the only) state that sends out an actual numeric score to the examinees. Virginia used to give out scores, but I don't think they do anymore. That being said, I know the actual score of my last three Virginia tests, because they are listed on the PCSHQ website. Not sure why they show the scores there, but they do.

Texas sends only the score if you pass. If you fail, they send a diagnostic score that helps you figure out in what subject areas you need to improve. (At least that's what they used to do.)

Not correct anymore envirotex, I failed last Oct and received my score and my diagnostic report. It was the scaled score they gave me.

I think it makes a lot more sense for them to give you the failing score so that you can know how close you are and what to work on. I hope you pass this time Smott!!

You don't need the score to know what to work on. All you need is the diagnostic report.

Diagnostic report told me what I knew...bombed all the stuff I didn't get time to study.

I hope we all pass, and thanks!
