Hello everyone,

I'm excited to share that I recently passed the PE Civil Construction 8-Hour exam in California and am now preparing for the application process. While reviewing the PE application flowchart, I discovered that both my BS and MS degrees need to be ABET accredited.

My BS in Civil Engineering is from a foreign university, and unfortunately, it doesn't appear on the abet.org list. Additionally, my MS in Construction Management from a US university isn't listed under ABET for master's programs, although many of the bachelor engineering degrees offered by the university itself are accredited.

This situation has left me quite confused.

Does this mean I need six years of experience before applying, or is there a way to receive education credit for these degrees? Has someone been in a similar boat as mine? open to hearing your suggestions and thoughts on how to navigate through this.

Thanks.
