Are there actual problems like this on the exam? I'm not a fan of these practice problems as they seem to leave alot of information out (i.e the initial state of the relays or bulbs).

In the NCEES test spec Section II Circuit Analysis, section B3, there is Relays, switches, and PLC's.

I thought the problems were a good refresher on relay logic which is found with PLC's. When I look at the circuits, I assume shelf condition unless stated otherwise. Just use the same technique you would use when reviewing a schematic.
