I was looking for a way to supplement my income on a part time basis. I don't feel like working at Home Depot and it seems like it would take a while to find work moonlighting as a PE...
Anyway, I keep on finding postings by local jurisdictions for part time fire inspectors. I appear to meet all the qualifications.
Has anyone performed inspections for a municipality on a part time basis? If so, what were the hours and how was the experience? Obviously, I couldn't do the part time work if it interfered with my 9-5.
The compensation is lousy at $20 per inspection but I know it wouldn't take too long to perform fire inspections on smaller facilities....
