Wisconsin licensing board updated application checklist today - "Engineer" requirement met, so thinking I passed. Still no official word from NCEES.

Got my results in the mail, PASSED Mining/Mineral Processing, West Virginia Results are in the MAIL

I seen the same thing on the Wisconsin Licensing board. So I might have passed as well. If Wisconsin can post it to the application checklist why can't they just release to NCEES. Frustrating

The lady at the VA office must just be mad at us for bugging them, she gave me a very nice response. :)

"No. We have not received the grades from NCEES. They will not post until we receive, download and Board certify. That is usually end of Dec/first of January."

What are we dealing with the Pony Express?

It's not really WI waiting to release but rather friggin' PCS. Back when I was waiting for results, I had to wait a week longer than everyone else because PCS. I and a few others that were waiting were never able to actually confirm whether or not the status change on the WI DRL website was linked to passing. Though it did brighten our spirits. Hopefully you'll get something soon. Good luck!

Response from DPOR about results.

When we receive them. NCEES has not yet sent them. We have to first receive, download, Board certify. Usually they post end of Dec/first of Jan

You should respond and send her a link to NCEES website. Which says:

"The October 2012 PE exam results were released to NCEES member licensing boards on December 12, 2012."

I'd have to imagine this information is sent electronically no?

I did, but there's probably going to be another BS response. Oh well, wait until Monday -_-

Not sure if anyone has posted yet, NY results were released today 12/14/12.

I finally passed the electrical power test on my 5th try. It took a lot more studying than I originally thought.

Some advice for other PE candidates: I highly recommend a good review course and taking a week or two from work to study instead of failing it multiple times like I did. If you are close to NYC go to PERC and make sure Neil is the instructor.

It feels amazing after working for this license for 2+ years. To all of you who failed, don't be discouraged, don't give up, study study study!! You will eventually get it if you put in the correct amount of time/effort!

Also, I recommend complex imaginary exams in conjunction with the NCEES exam questions. After studying for multiple exam administrations, I found these practice problems to be the most helpful.

Not that I'm calling Ms. Toni Spencer a liar (in case she were to read this), but how is it that:

  1. Half of the other states in the union have already released results to the examinees, and
  2. NCEES told me this morning that they were waiting for approval from the VA board

...but somehow DPOR hasn't received the results yet.

I guess that NCEES has just singled out VA. That seems much more logical than believing VA's head button-pusher in charge of blessing the release is on vacation through the end of the month.

Perhaps VA Board has PCS perform due diligence on the results prior to them (VA Board) receiving them? Most states use ncees to administer their exams. Using a non-ncees third-party seems to add another level of complexity to the process.

Any news on Oregon? I called yesterday and they had the results wednesday afternoon, but not sure when they are getting mailed out. Wondering if some of the locals have already gotten their letter today (mailed out yesterday)?

Just want to know so I don't waste my whole weekend! :juggle:

Apparently so, based on the response from DPOR,

"They may have been released but they have not been mailed."

you know if I was going to fail, I would have rather found out on a Friday rather than a Monday.... damnit i think Virginia is trolling us

The whole thing about dealing with PCS causing it to take longer is BS. Other states that use PCS have already released.

as a repeat taker of the test in PA I would be surprised if next week is the release date...it has always been 10-12 weeks :juggle:
Ugh, are you serious? What an innefficient bunch.
Agreed...not sure why it takes them so lone...do they do a bell curve for pa takers?

I dont't know, but if you look at the map from April, PA was the very last state to release the results.... and last October the results didn't come out til the first week in January according to past threads
