A quick un-scientific survey... what does the job market look like for Civil Engineers in your area of the country?

Yes, un-scientific... so disregard level of experience and area of practice. I'm guessing it's still pretty rough out there and will be for the foreseeable future.

What aspect of Civil?

I know that transportation, structural and environmental are being picked up by several local companies; both EIT and PE. A few want PE's over an EIT; but others are looking for both.

Move to Houston....they are hiring like crazy.

I know that central PA, southwest PA and West Virginia are good right now thanks to the gas industry, at least I know we are hiring in those areas.

Norty Dakota is crazy with new and expansion work as a trickle down from the oil boom.

Then again it's snowing here right now.
