California FE exam registration filing expired?

Hey

I'm in california and planning to take FE exam in this October. However, i was told that registration filing for california is closed by August 23rd. Is that true? Thank you.

The deadline to file an application in California for the October exam was July 19. The deadline to refile an application was August 23, 2010. The deadline to obtain a national ID through NCEES for the October exam is September 12.

Thank you. I thought it was Sep 12 for california. Well i guess i'm gonna take on April 11 then.
