I haven't seen the movie - don't know if I will.

And the Pixar movie CARS was known as Doc Hollywood the first time it came out too. The Pixar version is soooo much cooler.....

KACHOW !!!!
Awesome flick!!! :w00t:

Plus if it has great appeal to children you can bet you will grab at least one parent so that ups your ticket sales.
Don't forget the add-on for all of the concessions that you WILL be required to buy!

The story was very, very similar to the later books in Orson Scott Card's Ender series, right down to the trees being connected to form a neural network.

Loved the movie, still. 3D was bad-ass.

Also, we saw this at the Alamo Drafthouse. They serve you food and pitchers of beer while you watch. It's the only way to watch any movie.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I thought it was fantastic entertainment. More fun thatn any movie I can remember in the last 10 years, at least.
But it ain't original.
Basically this is the constant theme of people Iknow who have seen it...
Kinda how I felt. Breathtaking scenery and effects and scope. Typical man asigned to spy on the enemy ends up becoming a sympathizer plot.

We're going back this weekend to see it in IMAX 3D.
