Google directs woman to walk into traffic, and she does!

This reminds me, a few months/years ago, if you used google maps to search for directions from somewhere in the US to somewhere in Europe, Google maps would instruct you to go to Boston and then swim across the Atlantic Ocean to somewhere in France. I think Google maps estimated the swim would take you 30 days. I wonder if the directions still do that.

Get walking directions from San Francisco to Australia. SAometimes it says swim, sometimes it say canoe. I find it funny, personally. I wonder if my wife would sue if I happened to get eaten by a shark during my swim...

Tried it, I get this message

We could not calculate directions between San Francisco, CA and Australia.
I tried the Boston to France one too, it doesn't seem to work no matter what mode of transportation you use. It's a shame that dumb people have to ruin stuff like that, I thought it was funny but if someone really had tried to swim (or canoe) across the Atlantic you can bet there would be a lawsuit.

Try being more specific, i.e. get directions from San Francisco, CA to Sydney, Australia. Worked for me just a minute ago.
ah, there it goes. It tells me to kayak across the Pacific Ocean. Wasn't someone around here looking to buy a kayak?

Edit:

Yup, DK is kayak shopping
