I would check with your state requirements. In Iowa the state application is only good for one year. So If I applied and took the test in Ocotber, I could retake the exam in April without having to go through the application process again. If I waited until next October, I would have to resubmit...

I didn't check until I received an email......but I really thought that I had failed, so I wasn't really checking the NCEES website. Gosh was it a BIG surprise when I saw the word PASS!!!!

Now I just need to find where I can enter my name for the scrolling bar on this site.....

I passed!!! I passed!!! I really thought I failed that test too! I am soooo excited that I am shaking!

Iowa Results are out!!!

There were a few econ questions on both the AM and PM section of the test this past April. None of them were hard or remotely complex. I was able to solve them with the formulas given in the FE reference manual - which you can download and print off from NCEES. :D

I don't feel very good about this exam at all. I was 100 times more prepared, but I felt this test was significantly harder than the October Exam. If I would have studied for the Ocober exam like I did this one, I would have aced it. I work at a MEP consulting firm, so the NEC questions and...

I would say they are very similar. I thought the questions were slightly harder on the actual exam, but not much.

Get the NCEES practice exam from NCEES. Its almost EXACTLY like that. The problems themselves aren't hard, but sometimes figuring out what they are really asking for is....or at least that was what I thought. I am getting ready to take it for the 2nd time this week.......
