oh I understand your question.....She did not have her PE yet in any state and she was eligible for the CA exam. She was hoping to get reciprocity using her CA 8-hr exam in her home state.

I am not sure of her reasoning. However, my reason for taking the CA exam instead of my home state of Massachusetts is because 1.) I could take the exam sooner in CA than in MA. and 2.) The April 2011 in MA is now a two day exam schedule consisting of two 8-hr exams. Day 1: Structural Breadth...

My first thought is no because to apply for comity you need a license number. You won't have a license number in CA if you've only passed the civil 8hr not the state specific exams...but I'm not completely sure.

Got the letter in mail (not sure what the post marked date was...the girlfriend opened it for me over the phone but I'd assume it's postmarked 1/10/11 since its been so long). Passed all three first try. Not updated on the database however.

The Theory applies for State Specific CA Civil exams only. BUT CONGRATS anyway! Still waiting...East Coast.
