See if you can find the 5th edition used for cheap. I like it better than the 3 volume and definitely found some obsure answers in the Salvato book.

You do need to know where to find some basic HVAC information. This topic could show up on the exam, but will probably be very basic. I also found some useful tables and info in what you refer to as the EIT section, especially with regard to industrial hygiene/toxicology.

I just took and passed the April 2010 exam so I'll comment now since I think the advice will be relevant to October test takers... I looked for a 101 Solved Problems book, but it seems to be out of print. There were used copies available, but I procrastinated and the prices shot up as the exam...
