I will echo what has said here about getting a PE (in general). If you ever want to cut the corporate tie and start an engineering consulting firm (that is offer engineering services to the public) you'll need a PE. If you ever work for the Government and want to get into positions of more...
I prefer the Casio FX-115 series, I used the one that had the ability to display the text as you would see it written in a text book. The advantage was I could quickly look at the screen and see if I fat fingered something. Didn't have to decipher calculator-ese.
I'll agree that, from a legal perspective, it is going to matter what state you are licensed in as to whether or not it matters to have a control or EE license. In certain states, so long as you have appropriate knowledge/education/experience you can seal whatever work you believe you can...
I took (and passed) the Computer module in April 2008 and found that there were some significant differences in the NCEES prep material and the actual test. Some made it more difficult, others made it easier. I was pleasantly surprise by the number of definition questions. But the programming...

Congrats MDElec! :multiplespotting: Definately worth the wait! Now I'm the one trying to finish up grad school and this semester is going to s-u-c-k!
Congrats to all the other MD pass-ers!
Congrats MD pass-ers! Enjoy the moment! :multiplespotting: :party-smiley-048:
For those not so lucky this go around; take a few days off, relax and hit the book next week to prepare for April. Try to find someone who passed within your discipline and get some advice on parts you feel you...
Don't be afraid to call the board, they're some who really will tell you straight up what is going on. The PE board secretary is very (brutally) honest and if she says it will happen on day X then you can expect it to happen. Or you can do what some of my friends did and create bogus email...
To anyone who might by chance read this and take the new format exam for Computers, I'd be curious to get your feedback (especially if you are a repeat taker and can compare and contrast the two) on what exactly they go for in terms of breadth and depth of computer topics. Thanks!
