That's the approach I took this time around (2nd time). I worked sample exams on the weekend, then did my research on each through the following week. Last two weekends before, I timed the 2 exams, which helped with time management for test day. I felt the AM was a bit shakey, but PM felt solid.
I just took the exam in October and there was a notice I hadn't seen on any other documentation. There was a statement that mentioned something about "only authorized sample exams" may be brought in or something to that effect. Maybe Tim could chime in, but I would be hesitant about brining...
Sorry for the confusion, there are numerous rants about PCS, so I assumed everyone knew who they were. My bad. I received an explanation simply stating "when NCEES raises their fees, PCS must raise accordingly".
I just signed into PCS and went to pay for the April PE exam and the fee was $340! The October 2013 fee was $255. Anyone know why the $85 increase??? Moral of the story is I should have passed the first time...
I kept the red pencil in my car as good luck. Its stabbed me 13 times since I refuse to retract the graphite. That has to mean we'll get the results on the 13th.
