I know I am not engineergirl, but yes...It does mean you passed because they have already assigned you a registration number!! What they probably mean by updating the website, is that they will put everybody's address in and add any out of state P.E. people. Congrats on passing!! I wish my name was listed on that site!
me too

Thanks, I am still hesitant to celebrate until I have that paper in my hand :)

I received my letter yesterday also. I will not go to the reception, just wait for the certificate to be mailed.

Received my letter this morning but it is at home and I am stuck at work. Was told it is in a large envelope. Is the size of the envelope of any significance on pass or fail?

I received a large envelope, and it had my name with PE written on the address label.

Regardless, you can go on the website and search for your name.

My son just called me and i got my failure letter. I asked and he said it was a small envelope like a bill. It has only two sheets of paper. Back to the books for October.

last year when i failed October exam, i received a small envelope,,this year i passed and got big envelope

So does anyone know what score you needed to get to pass the test. I went through my failure letter, and it looks like I probably only missed passing by 2 questions. That is if you need a 70 to pass, cause I unfortunaley only got 54/80 questions correct....by calculating from the percentages that they provide.

Unfortunate... really unfortunate.... It does look like you missed by 1 or 2 questions....

70% raw score is an urban legend. No where on ncees site does it say you need 70% raw score to pass. Back when they used to send out scores, they were a scaled score. and you needed a scaled score of 70 to pass. apparently, the passing score changes everytime and is different for every discipline. so they set whatever the passing score is to 70 and 80 raw points to 100 scale and scale everyone's result based on that equation. I think it was all of the confusion that caused them to just go pass/fail.

That being said, without knowing what the raw passing score is for your discipline and for this time, you may be off by 1, 2 or 5 points. Just hit those areas you had a low percentage it and come back swinging next time. Good luck!
