Hi,

Does anyone know the reference or code used to determine wind loads for building in early 80's? i need to assess existing buildings built in those years and check how the wind loads were compared to current code.

Thanks,

Ako

I would guess ASCE 7 (1982 edition) would be a place to start.

Probably not. Back in the wild days before 2000, there were quite a few building codes used nationwide.

Check this site, it has archived building codes:

https://bulk.resource.org/codes.gov/

Edit: And, of course, only goes to the 1990s. Sigh.
