Hello everyone,

I am wondering if there is a special projector for reading plans. Ideally a glass 11x17 I can lay a plan on and see a much larger image of on the wall, also would be nice if it could print from it and has a tools such as a scale to interact with the plan.

Please let me know.

If not then is there a website with tools for the architect/engineer that faciliate the reading and editing of project plans?

Thank you very much!

I've seen 8.5 x 11" projectors for paper/books... but not in a long time.

Maybe try a 42" HDTV/monitor?

Thats what I'm thinking but my boss wants a projector for some ******* unknown reason, retard

You may be better off using a video projector and a white wall; the computer user could make edits that would show up on the wall in a manner similar to what you are trying to do. My office does this on our whiteboard, so that everyone can make markups on the board that are later transferred to the actual file once it's been agreed upon by all.

Design review will probably be the program of choice for ACAD drawings. It'll allow pretty good interaction of the file itself as compared to an old glass top projector.

Thanks guys, it's either a big tv hooked up through hdmi, edits made on computer which show up instantly or a projector hitting the whiteboard where we can draw in edits to later add.

Since we already have both, I guess it's up to my dumb boss to know what a HDMI cable is

We use an HDTV. Projectors are getting cheaper every day tho.

Always wanted a projector + whiteboard combo.
