Hello

I am newbie to hydraulic modeling. I am using Water cad V 8i .

When I try to validate the lesson1.dwg provided by Bentley it is showing the following error message.

41595 Base Junction 38 J-6 Node is not connected to, or is isolated from, a boundary (reservoir or tank). N/A Pressure Engine

41595 Base PRV 39 PRV-1 Node is not connected to, or is isolated from, a boundary (reservoir or tank). N/A Pressure Engine

41596 Base Pipe 40 P-8 Pipe is not connected to, or is isolated from, a boundary (reservoir or tank). N/A Pressure Engine

Please help me to resolve this error.

Thanks

JR

Hi Learner2010,

I had the same problem, don't know if you have managed to solve it since. Through lots of head scratching I've discovered that the way the tutorial asks you to lay out the pipe (so that P-8 comes from J-6 and P-9 comes from J-4) is the problem. It puts the PRV in backwards.

If you open the PRV Properties box and change the "downstream pipe" from P-9 to P-8 the problem is resolved.

I can't see anywhere in the tutorial which tells me this, although I am sure I've learned something from finding a solution myself!

Cheers

Hi....

I found this site looking for information on watercad tutorials, I need to learn how to use the program for my brand new-first real job=)

It seems that the only real helpfull tutorial is the one provided by Bentley that you both are mentioning. My question is, is that exclusive for Bentley graduates or something?

I found some online courses at Bentley's website but I don't know if those are which everyone talks about.

I will apreciate any information on the subject
