I just got my slightly creased PE wall license in the mail today. It looked like the mailman tried to fold the envelope in half, but fortunately, there was a cardboard insert with the certificate. This prevented him from folding it completely in half. :D Anyway, the plastic wallet card (that I've seen all other CA PE's have) wasn't in the envelope today. Does anyone know if the card is supposed to be sent with the wall license, or if the wallet card comes later in a separate envelope? Thanks. :party-smiley-048:

From what I've heard....first comes the certificate, then comes the wallet card.....then shortly after, comes the 2 year renewal fee :multiplespotting:

And what are these mail people thinking?!?!?!?! I guess they don't realize the amount of blood, sweat, and tears that goes into getting the certificate. :multiplespotting: I've got a dinky little mail box and I'm just waiting for the thing to be creased in the middle

I suspect you will get your plastic license in June or July. I got that cheap paper wallet license at first. If I recall correctly, you have to pay a license fee very quickly after you pass - like six months after. For example, I took the test in October 2005. I got licensed in January 2006 and received the letter, wall cert, and paper wallet card. In June 2006 my license expired and I had to pay the $100 two year renewal. Shortly after that I got the plastic card. I think that's the sequence. Anyway, don't worry, they didn't forget to mail it to you. Eventually you will get your plastic card.

Got my wall certificate yesterday.....same thing with the mail man trying to fold it in half :jerkit: Lucky it had that cardboard insert  ....didn't notice a crease in the certificate itself.

...Makes you wonder what idiot :plusone: invented mailboxes that can't handle 8 1/2 x 11 documents

Anywho, still waiting on the wallet card and then I suppose the "fun" mail stops and the renew fees start coming :rtft:

...Must have been an architect, and not an engineer...lol...j/k. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that your wall certificate made it through just fine. :bananalama:

:) My wife is in the process of obtaining her architecture license--->had to laugh at your post because I always poke fun of them architects

Yeah, the wall cert made it through ok....I'm waiting to see how the mailman is going to f-up my 3x5 wallet card.... :bananalama:

I too poke fun at architects regularly. It's just part of engineering.

I got a wallet card from NH that was pre-laminated, so no worries there. They send you barber shop licenses rather than a card in VT which is printed on some shitty old timer dot matrix printer with the perforated holes on the side you pull off. Luckily, it was not bent or mangled when it got here.
