We are looking for a
Development Engineer and Engine Expert/Senior Expert
to Wärtsilä Global Research and Development in Vaasa, Finland. Come and join us in our global Research and Development organization to develop cutting-edge technologies and components to Wärtsilä’s gas fuelled engines. We offer you challenging tasks in an international team, continuous competence development as well as opportunities for career advancement in the world class R&D environment.
Responsibilities
- Research and development of technologies and components in respective expertise area
- Lead or participate in gas engine development projects
- Create solutions within gas engine technology to maintain Wärtsilä's leading position in gas engine technology
- Co-operation with suppliers and research facilities/universities
Requirements
For Development Engineer position:
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Know-how in gaseous fuels and hydraulics
- Gas engine knowhow, project management skills and fluency in English
For Engine Expert/Senior Expert position:
- MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowhow in advanced ignition technologies (spark, laser, corona etc.)
- Gas engine know-how, project management skills and fluency in English
- At least three years experience in engine technology development
