(This is to C&D in particular, yeah like anyone will read it, but in general for all magazine resubscription departments)
To Whom it may concern:
I have been a loyal subscriber to C&D since 1984, and fully intended to renew my subscription when it came due, until I got the resubscription notice yesterday.
Instead of a nice letter asking for my business, and informing me of the resubscription rate, I got a dunning letter saying that I had asked for an automatic resubscription (I hadn't) and perhaps payment of my bill had 'slipped my mine' (it hadn't).
I refuse to be treated that way. You can consider our business relationship over.
