I posted this in the Mechanical forum because... well, I am Mechanical. But after thinking about it more, it is good for all of the disciplines.

That's exactly how I tabbed my CERM, and it worked well for me. The only difference was that each discipline was a different color tab and I actually had to number the tabs and actually made a bound index for the numbers. Too many topics with long titles.
