There is a new release from PPI2Pass titled "Thermal and Fluids Systems Reference Manual for the Mechanical PE Exam (METS)". Has anyone bought it yet? I am trying to determine if it is worth my time purchasing. I would imagine that it is a good supplement to the MERM, but isn't by any means a pandora's box. Thoughts?

I bought it because i wanted to have extra problems to work...88 total.

Ive had the book for a week working problems which is similar style to MERM. Lots of "one hour" type problems. I still end up just using the MERM for solving.

The METS has only sections for TF exam plus new specifications which it states is may not have its own chapter. I really have not seen anything in the METS thats made me go "wow i would not survive without this!"

i say buy it for the extra practice problems, but dont think it will replace the MERM as a reference.
