But then we've got to come up with a better post-exam time waster for next time around.

The beauty of the 10ks after the exam is that your brain is fried, you have no interest in being clever, working out puzzles, you can't focus on anything because you're nervously waiting for results - and spamming like mad makes you feel productive and doesn't require a lot of effort, plus there's some getting to know the members of this board going on. It would be hard to find a good replacement.
