Surveying Book

Hello all,

For those of you who have taken the CA surveying test:

How crucial is it to study the Surveying Principles (Cuomo) book that says it is specifically for the California Special Civil Eng exam?

I am getting materials together on a limited budget and have access to an older surveying textbook for free. I am trying to decide if investing in the Cuomo book would be beneficial. Is there a lot of information in the Cuomo book that is CA specific? Have surveying practices changed much in the last twenty years?

FYI - I have no exposure to surveying at all.

It is to your advantage to have lot of review materials. Cuomo is a good source of information but may not be enough to get through the exam. I would suggest getting Reza workbook.
