Position Title = Senior Reliability Engineer
Education = Bachelor degree from accredited program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (other Engineering
degrees may be considered dependent on candidate’s other qualifications)
Experience Required = 5 or more years experience in heavy industrial work environment, closely supporting or leading
Engineering, Maintenance and/or Operations efforts
Position Description =
Actively participate and lead in appropriate Safety, Health and Environmental initiatives and programs.
evelop and administer an overall preventative/predictive maintenance program (PPM), update existing programs and
add new equipment and technology to existing programs.
Ensure personnel across functional areas are trained in PPM accountabilities and responsibilities.
Analyze equipment histories and failures to identify repetitive and preventable failures. Use root cause failure analysis
to ensure cause is identified and to identify actions to prevent recurrence.
Work with Planners as necessary to develop job scopes for major unique jobs.
Apply value analysis to decision making for repair/replace and repair/redesign.
Study corrosion, fatigue, wear, erosion and other failure mechanisms and initiate corrective actions as required.
Establish training for site personnel in the techniques of vibration analysis, infrared analysis, NDT techniques and other
PdM/condition monitoring techniques.
Direct the work of the Reliability Specialist/Reliability Technician as needed.
