As the Materials & Processes Engineer at the Rolls-Royce High Temperature Composites facility, you will be working on the development, maturation and implementation of Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) technology for incorporation into the next generation of turbine engine components.

Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and characterize ceramic matrix composites
- Implement computational methods for understanding complex material systems and improving CMC manufacturing process
- Competence executing process study plans, including the coordination of suppliers
- Capable of analyzing production & design data, characterizing materials and creating technical reports
- Plan and execute technical projects including working with external companies, universities and government agencies
- Work within an integrated product team environment with resources across the country and around the world
- Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%

Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 2 years of experience with ceramic matrix composites, OR
- Master’s degree in Materials, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, OR
- PhD in Engineering or Materials Science
- In order to be eligible for consideration you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
- Experience in process modeling and computational methods
- Experience in Chemical Vapor Infiltration and other SiC/SiC Ceramic Matrix Composite processing methods
- Technical leadership background within an engineering role
- Ability to direct manufacturing process development efforts
- Six sigma and/or LEAN knowledge
- ISO9001 / AS9100 experience
