I don't think any states have reciprocity for PE licenses. They all have comity. Basically, you apply for your license in that state, and if you meet the requirements for licensure and pay the fees, you get a license. They accept your FE and PE results, but all the other requirements are reviewed and voted on by the board. An NCEES Record makes this process easier because you don't have to dig up past employers or references every time you apply to a new state. You just give the state your Record number, and they get a packet from the NCEES with all of that information.

 
I intend to get my NCEES record and wanted to apply for licensure in CA & NY. I hear these states are tough and may not provide licensure by reciprocity or comity to Colorado or many other states.

Has anyone from Colorado had problems getting licensed in other states?
