First of all, I took the exam at 2/20/2016 at Los Angeles, and I get the result from 2/24/2016. I passed the exam
I graduated from UCLA at Dec 2014. And I have been told that the electrical engineer did not need the EIT as other engineer, so I did not take the exam at that time. This was a bad decision. Currently, I am in charge of the IT department in my company, the daily work is hardware maintenance, debug the company software, and etc. I still dont need the EIT and my boss did not require it. But I want to work in the government, or have better job opportunity, so I registered the exam on NCESS.
Well, I go to Amazon, and I purchase the review manual, I will say the FE review manual by Lindeburg is C+/B- book. Here is my review for the book in Amazon:
''It is an ok manual for you to review the the topic on the exam. However, it is not cover all the scope of the test. I took the exam on 2/20/2016, and I receive an email saying that I passed the exam. I will say this book is doing excellent on the math, statics, ethics, economy parts, and also the DC/AC circuit, digital circuit, Work, and E/H field. But for the signal part, the writer did not cover that much and when I go to the exam, I was confused. And also, for the mosfet, bjt, parts, he can put more meats on that too. "
Please be careful reading the book, it has some errors on the M field part, and some typos too. I will say the review manual did not cover that much on the Signal Modulation parts, if you want to 100% pass the FE exam, please get other source for this topic, and for the Field Transistor, and Mosfet too, the sample problems on that parts are easier than the exam I took. Of course, I think the hardiest part is power, because at my school, we did not go that deep on the power. the delta - wye power transfrom, and etc. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: DO NOT SKIP ANYTHING ON THE REVIEW MANUAL!! Especially for the major parts.
Over all, the exam is not hard, I finish the first 55 problems in 1 hour 20 minutes, and I have to take a brake, the second 55 problems are harder than the first part, please save some time for that. I leave the exam when I still have 45 mint left. Trust me, if you can get the problem done, you will get it done within 2 to 3 mints, if you can't figure it out, no matter how many mints you have, you sitll dont know the answer~~
Good Luck EVERY ONE~~
IF you have some ideas, please share with me
