October PE Results?

Just chilling out and watching the results come in.... following some of the "pointed" posts and waiting for the mailman, when I had to take a STEP BACK....

I doubt that anyone really considers their choices of handles very well, but I can tell you that as a KANSAN I had to take a DOUBLE take when I saw "BTK".....

If anyone does not know what that means in the mid-west, then just try to "google" it...

Oh well, just making an "unsolicited comment" since "..... I have the power...."

Does anybody have a clue to when the Texas results come in? I know they have to be sent to the board, but the board has not updated their "grade check" page.

I'm guessing today...we got the april ones on June 10, which is three days after the first ones were reported, I think.

Typically, Texas is very good about updating their website as soon as the results come in. Could be any day now. Maybe today or maybe tomorrow.

I've heard rumors that the Texas board tries to release results at end of business day on Friday. Supposedly to ensure that if someone is angry over test results they have a weekend to cool off before they call in.

Not sure how true that is- sounds a lot like speculation.

The updated message on the board's website appeared between 8 and ten yesterday morning (I'm checking a bit more frequently than is probably healthy).

Anyone else from Michigan on board here? I know we're supposed to get USPS mail directly from ELSES, so I was hoping to see results yesterday. Maybe, today? Has any other state receiving snail mail from elses begun to receive results?

That's right. I got my results on 12/20 (thursday) last year. Although, I heard that they were actually posted Wednesday evening... Since they don't seem to be up yet, I'm assuming that this year's are not following the same schedule. Sorry. Good luck to all!

I'm also from Michigan and awaiting the magical letter. Havent' heard anything yet, it doesn't seem like anyone has recieved a letter with results yet, only those states that have email results seem to be in...

I'm really not sure what is worse... email or 'pony express'. You never know when the pony will deliver so email is definitely faster, but on the other hand, waiting for ELSES to email you back again with your actual results is pretty agonizing, too...

It would be nice if all of the states adopted ELSES so that everyone would know around the same time. It seems kind of silly for some people to know weeks ahead of others. Of course, there are those states with state specific exams...

I think the results for the April 08 PE test for Texas came out on a Thursday as well if I remember... its hard to remember as I drowned my sorrows by drinking lots of alcohol that day.

So, based on that I was hoping we'd see the Tx results tonight! So far nothing...maybe tomorrow?

Hey, mjunak, I called ELSES this afternoon. A lady told me the results were mailed to Michigan test-takers Wednesday, so we'd hopefully get the results Friday or Saturday. It would really be nice if Michigan allowed email.

TXEngrChick, I wasn't necessarily expecting them today. (Hoping of course). Just thinking that the end of the day on friday thing wasn't valid. For that matter, I don't think the April results came out on a friday.

Texas Board is very efficient and understands the plight of test takers (from what I have seen in the past). They tend to make the results available for online viewing pleasure the same day they receive from NCEES. Thursday/Friday is a myth according to me. Last year the results were available online on 12/19 (Wednesday) at around 6 PM EST. The owner of the Texas Board on yahoo groups informed us when the results were "in the building" and then again when they were available online. From my experience, that person (Lance Kinney) is very good at responding to queries/concerns and also making sure that the results are available ASAP.

I have been thru this anxiety last December and I know exactly what you all are going thru, but rest assured, TX Board will NOT sit on your results. Sorry CA folks, I did not mean to taunt you guys here.. I empathize with you all....

in our office, test takers informed me that their scores were not available until Thursday afternoon (Dec. 20th)....they checked all day Thursday and found nothing until late evening.
