last year someone got a jar of gefelte (sp?) Fish and hid a giftcard. i would be up for something like that, too.

also, what makes you choose a gift to open? I feel like mine are forever chosen last, and they're such good gifts and noone steals them because it's too late in the game.

we do white elephant/ stealing gifts x times max style, but with non-junk gifts.

Roll up some scratch off lotto tickets, put them in a wine bottle and wrap that puppy up. People will think it is booze and it'll be picked first!

last year for the white elephant one of the engineers had a 8x10 framed photo himself.  its up in another engineers office and everyone takes turns drawing on it.

popular items are office appropriate games (dart board etc), tool sets (always an overabundance), gift cards (boring)
