Hello,

I'm reviewing a report from contractor. The design and nameplate voltage on the motor for make up air unit is 460 but the measured actual voltage is 280. Will this cause any issues?

Also on a different device, at what point does over amperage become a concern?

Thanks for your help as I'm not an EE

Usually, the minimum acceptable voltage for an induction motor is rated -10% (NEMA MG-1).

I suspect the 280 V reading is phase voltage rather than line voltage. Multiply by sqrt3 to get the conversion. Should be 485 Vac which is fine for a 460 V motor on a 480 V system.
