New York Picture ID

I was trolling the New York State 'Office of the Professionals' Website, hoping to find out why they are sooooo late getting the new PE license numbers assigned, and I found something interesting.

Apparently we can request/order (for a $30 fee) an Official New York State picture ID that would identify us in the field as a Professional Engineer :B

Does anyone have such a ID card?  How about in other States?  Do they offer that?  Does this sound extremely egotistical (of course it does, but as you probably seen in another thread I am planning on buying the PE license plates once I get my number)?

Apparently California board started issuing plastic cards in 2016. http://www.bpelsg.ca.gov/pubs/bulletin48.pdf See page 4

Haven't read/heard anything about cards for 2018 licensees.
