Okay I have one switch I cant figure out:

Its for the bathroom, with a vanity light, fart fan, and one outlet

I have 4 wires:

1 Hot Wire From Panel

1 set of wires for vanity light

1 set of wires for fart fan

1 set of wires for outlet

Anyone know which ones to wire together? I cant ever recall which one to pigtail so that the outlet has constant power and the light switches work?

Don't you just take the incoming, jumper the power so you can run light / fan / outlet independent. Also, you should switch the hot leg.

Tie all neutrals together, tie all grounds together.

I'm not an electrician...

assuming your "1 Hot Wire From Panel" has a neutral, wire thusly:

1) tie Hot, outlet and a pigtail together. (3 wires)

2) tie panel neutral, outlet neutral, fan neutral and light neutral together. (4 wires)

3) tie pigtail from step one to one side of switch.

4) tie light hot and fan hot to other side of switch. (2 wires)

this should make the outlet hot and the fan/light to come on with the switch.

dont forget your grounds

that will be $65 please.

Are the switches and outlets in the same unit? or separate? I have a 3-switch "decora style" unit that switches the light, night light and shower light.... and a separate fan control unit (timed... 10,20,30 and 60 min, with on/off manual button also)....

Many thanks! Checks in the mail :)

& yes 1 Hot Wire meant 1 Hot, 1 Nuetral, 1 Ground...

With what I just did, I don't think a 60 minute timer would do the trick. I'd need a wind tunnel fan and an aux boiler to power it.

I had to do this in the bathroom that I wired in my basement. It's a pain in the *** because of the ground wires. You have the incoming, and 3 outgoing grounds to tie together, plus pigtails to connect to each switch/outlet. Twisting 7 bare grounds together inside of a 3-gang box is a PITA.

thanks for sharing
At least there were no pics involved.

Here you go, new bathroom fart fan:

^will that handle solids?

nothing too huge, you know standard aerosolized fecal particulates, perhaps some light splatter?
