I am confused how to use this info.

When a HP power rating is given, must I ALWAYS assume it is output rating?

so a 100hp motor w/ 80% efficiency requires 125hp of power?

I just want to confirm what I think I need to assume for a related question

Motor horsepower is always brake horsepower (bhp) at the output shaft.  The person specifying the motor is primarily concerned with matching it to the load it needs to spin.
