I hope they mean 40 caliber, not 40 mm. A comparison can be seen below (40 mm is on top, .40 is 2nd from the bottom).

Yeah, they fixed it last night after I posted that, and put this at the bottom of the page...

(This version CORRECTS size of spent shell to 40 caliber instead of 40-mm.)

I just checked again this morning, and now that is missing from the bottom of the article. I guess they just did it for bastards like me that exploited their mistake, but figure anybody reading the article today wouldn't have seen the mistake.

Moral of the story: don't throw rocks at a federal officer.
